e-learning journey to date

Week 8 -28/11/08
Decided to write what I have learnt to date.
Created a blog to record my e-learning journey from 2/10/08 and followed Ann's for learning and information.
Participated in online conferencing, the first session was so unfamilar and daunting (my work being mostly visual) now in Week 9, I am feeling more confident to chose the appropriate Web 2 tools which will best suit the process of design selection. A concern I still have is the Technical problems within discovere. I have learnt it is important to simplify everything within the Curriculum, and reduce the time frame, to a maxium session of 1.5hrs.
Studying other online courses at different Colleges around the world, has been helpful to see the Web 2 tools they are using.
With all the various research, I found a ning site for Fashion Businesses which is obviously different and visual, and will be helpful for my online learning, and development of Courses.
I will set up my Courses and have students link into www.studeous.com all in one site.
Over the next few weeks I will need to create or find videos, and put some of my documents into a powerpoint presentation. This has been a very interesting and rewarding journey, and with lots and lots of practise will eventually achieve my goal.

e-learning journey

Week 7, 14/11/08
Have just read your blog Ann, glad you enjoyed the presentations. It was difficult that synchronised browsing did'nt work, with so much information on style.com, I was worried I would lose everyone!! at least Ken found his way to the menswear!! The sites Helen recommended http://grou.ps.introduction.php and www.studious.com are both great sites! www.studious.com is very easy to set up and also it is free! So I have decided to document my e-learning journey as a student on this site, and set up the courses I want to run in Term 2, 2009 as a teacher. I will then have a place to upload information, video, powerpoint presentations etc. will keep you posted! Ann, thank you for the info. and feedback on my blog, http://www.flexiblelearning.net.au/e-portfoliosblog/?=30 is wonderful for information as well!

e-learning journey

Week 6 - 6/11/08
The past couple of weeks, I have been working on developing two creative courses, while the outline is there, to transfer the idea's to an online course, (with Ann's advice) will need to be summarized in the content. Also, a safety net for the teacher as well, in such a new learning enviroment. Also, looking at a lot of websites - blogs seem to be everywhere, a great way for companies to get instant feedback for their products. Forums - are sometimes refered to as Community on some American sites. This week, I will be looking at video and e-portfolio, and whatever else seems to distract me.
